I didn't over do it, though, and I stayed away from the desert table. I was proud of myself. I usually eat until I'm so stuffed I can barely stand it at this type of thing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then, I came home. Today was Beth's birthday, and I just couldn't help but notice that her dad didn't even call to wish her a happy birthday. The more I thought about it, the sadder I got, and the more I wanted to eat. And I did eat - entirely too much. It just made me feel 10 times worse than I was feeling to start with.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I guess I've learned my lesson, though. Eating does not help me with my problems, and from now on I'm going to try my best to not do that again. And tomorrow it's right back on my diet! I don't even have a good excuse. I just plain forgot!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've been doing well in both the diet and exercise departments. I'm not following a set diet, I've just been eating less and healthier than I was before. I've been doing WATP every day, and I think I'm about ready to progress to the 2 mile workout. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've also set a new exercise goal for the next couple of months. I want to be able to make it through the Tae Bo beginner workout without keeling over. I tried it the other day, and was only able to get through about 1/4 of it before I'd had enough. I want to do it because it reminds me of my mom. She passed away on Aug. 31, and I miss her so much. She was an exercise nut, and with her background in Martial Arts, she thought that Tae Bo was just the perfect workout. We only walked about a mile, though. I could've done more, but my girls were getting tired. I ended up carrying my 3 year old on my shoulders for the last quarter mile or so. I guess that's too much for my kids, so I should probably get a babysitter while I walk every now and then so I can get in a good workout.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've done okay in the food and water department today. I've gotten in my 64 oz., plus a couple glasses of Crystal Light tea. I ate a little more than I should have, but I didn't snack all day long like I usually do. Really fat. I'm 5'7" tall, and  I weighed 271 lbs the last time I went to the doctor. I wear a size 22.  I disgust myself (and probably just about everybody else).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But no more! 2006 is going to be my year. I'm going to lose at least 50 lbs this year, and in the long term I want to lose 120 lbs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I don't really have a set plan as to how I'm going to do this just yet. I'm going to start by eating less, and exercising more. I'm trying to cut out sodas, and drink much more water. At least 64 ounces of water a day. I've joined &lt;a href="http://groups.yahoo.com/group/craftylosers/"&gt;Crafty Losers&lt;/a&gt;, and the wonderful ladies there are proving to be a great inspiration so far.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here are my January goals as posted to the group last night:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;1. To walk with my girls everyday. They need the exercise as much as I do. I want to do WATP on days that it's too rainy or cold.&lt;/div&gt;  &lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;  &lt;div&gt;2. To eat much less carbs and more fruit. I already eat a lot of vegetables, as a matter of fact I live on bread and vegetables.&lt;/div&gt;  &lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;  &lt;div&gt;3. To drink more water and less soda. I've done pretty good today - got in my 64 ounces and had 1 can of diet Sprite.&lt;/div&gt;  &lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;  &lt;div&gt;4. To lose at least 5 lbs, but hopefully 10. I want my doc to be proud of me when I go for my checkup in early Feb.&lt;/div&gt;  &lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;  &lt;div&gt;5. To start a weight loss blog and write in it every day. I think that will help a lot.&lt;/div&gt;  &lt;div&gt; &lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I think that'll make a good start.
